Store terms

The Eclipse Store, in plain language

The store lists the things money can buy in the city — vehicles, properties, kits. Before you spend anything, this page says exactly what you are buying, how it reaches you, and what it does not include. It sits on top of the site terms and the rules; buying from the store means you accept all three.

What you are actually buying

  • A licence, not property. Every purchase grants a revocable right to use a virtual item on Eclipse RP. You do not own it, cannot sell or trade it for money, and cannot take it with you if you leave.
  • In-game prices are roleplay prices. The dollar amounts shown on the store ($1,000,000 for an Adder, and so on) are the in-game character prices. What you pay in real money, and how that maps to in-game funds or items, is shown at checkout — the store never pretends the two are the same thing.
  • Nothing affects gameplay balance by surprise. Anything sold is cosmetic or convenience, and grants no advantage in staff decisions, applications or reports. Staff play by the same rules regardless of what anyone bought.
  • One account per purchase. Items are bound to the game account they were delivered to and cannot be transferred between accounts or players.

Delivery, bugs and wipes

  • Delivery is manual and not instant. A purchase is reviewed and granted by staff — usually within 48 hours, and you will get a confirmation in a ticket. If something has not arrived after 48 hours, open a ticket rather than buying again.
  • Server wipes happen. Eclipse RP is a hobby project; a framework update, a data corruption or a fresh start can reset characters and inventories. Purchased items are restored after a wipe whenever the data allows it, but that is a best-effort promise, not a guarantee.
  • Bugs are fixed, not compensated. If an item you bought misbehaves, report it in a ticket: it will be fixed or restored. Downtime, rollbacks and bugs are not grounds for a refund by themselves.
  • The store can change. Items rotate, prices change, and a product can be retired. What you bought is yours for as long as the server runs; what is listed tomorrow may differ.

Refunds

  • All sales are final. Virtual items cannot be "returned", so purchases are non-refundable once delivered. Choose carefully; ask questions in a ticket before buying.
  • Duplicate or failed deliveries are the exception. If you were charged twice, or the item never arrived and staff cannot deliver it, you get the item or a refund of that charge — the choice is yours in the ticket.
  • Bans are not refunds. Breaking the rules and losing access does not entitle you to your money back. Buying from the store never puts you above the rules.
  • Chargebacks lose the account. A payment dispute filed with your bank instead of a ticket results in a permanent ban from the server and the Discord, and the dispute is contested with this page as evidence that the terms were accepted.

Fair play around purchases

  • Buying is not status. Purchases earn no respect, ranks or leniency. Treating other players differently over what they bought is exactly as much a rule break as doing it over anything else.
  • No trading for real money. Selling, gifting or sharing in-game assets, accounts or store items for real currency — inside or outside the city — is a permanent ban for everyone involved.
  • Buying for someone else is fine. Say so in the ticket with their game account name, and the item is delivered to them; the purchase is then theirs, and the above terms apply to them.
  • Under-18s need a parent's OK. The store follows the same age expectations as the game itself. A purchase by someone under the age required by Discord's terms is refundable on a parent or guardian's first request.

Questions

Asked before spending money

Is the store required to play?
No. Everything on the store is optional. Whitelist, jobs, progress and every core part of the city are free, and a player who never spends a cent plays the same city as one who buys everything on it.
How do I actually buy something?
Pick it on the store page, then open a ticket in the Discord to arrange payment. Staff confirm the details, take the payment, and deliver the item in game — the ticket is also your receipt, so keep it until the item is delivered.
Can I get my purchase on a new character after a wipe?
Usually yes — purchases are tracked by account, and after a wipe staff restore what the records show you owned. If a wipe loses the records themselves, a ticket with your original receipt (the old ticket) is enough to have it granted again.
Someone is selling store items for real money — is that allowed?
No, and it is a ban for both sides. Only the store sells items. If you see it happening, a ticket with screenshots is genuinely appreciated.
Can these store terms change?
Yes, and this page is the current version. Changes that affect things people already bought are announced in the Discord before they take effect — the same standard the rules and the site terms are held to.

Clear on all of it?

Browse the store, and ask in a ticket before buying if anything is unclear.
