The server

Built on a custom framework, run like a city

Eclipse RP runs on a custom framework, which is what gives the city its economy, jobs, inventory and permissions. That foundation is deliberately boring — it works — and the time we would have spent rebuilding it goes into the parts you actually notice: department standards, staff response times, and rules that are applied the same way to everyone.

You earn your way in

Every player is whitelisted through a short voice interview, so nobody starts with a stranger's reputation. Reapply any time; leaving the Discord does mean reapplying.

Support that closes tickets

Tickets open in Discord, reach staff immediately, and produce a transcript when they close — so a report does not disappear because somebody forgot what was decided.

Serious scenes, real time

Injuries are played out, scenes are finished before they are reported, and the new life rule is enforced. The point is that losing a scene still costs you something.

Staff decisions are on the record

Punishments, bans and appeals are logged with who decided and why. You can appeal a call — what you cannot do is argue it into the void.

Recording is part of the deal

Have clipping software ready at all times. Reports are judged on evidence — no clip means no case, which protects you as much as it protects the person you are reporting.

Departments with standards

Police, EHS and the community teams are whitelisted positions with their own conduct rules — including a one-week cooldown if you leave one, so a rank is not something you can shop around for.

Getting in

Three steps, no cryptic form

There is no application fee and no waiting list. What there is: a Discord account, a working microphone, and a few minutes in voice with staff.

  1. Join the Discord

    Everything happens there — announcements, rules, support tickets and the whitelist queue. Read the rules post first; it is short and it is enforced.

  2. Book your whitelist interview

    Open a whitelist ticket in Discord, or wait for an invite into the whitelist voice channel. A member of staff talks to you, checks you have a working microphone, and confirms you know how the city works.

  3. Connect and start your character

    Once you are whitelisted you get the server details and the connect link, and you can start on your character — including applying for a department job if that is your thing.

Before you apply: you need a working microphone and recording software ready at all times. Reports without a clip cannot be actioned — that applies to everyone, including staff.

Departments you can join

Departments and teams are for players who are already whitelisted — they are not the way in. Each has its own standards and conduct rules, and you apply through a ticket once you have spent some time in the city.

Law enforcement

Police Department

Patrols, traffic stops, investigations and pursuit policy. You are held to the policies in the rules — including how chases end and when force is justified — because the alternative is a city where nobody stops.

Rules

The short version

The full rules are kept on one page so nobody has to hunt through chat for them. These are the ones that come up most.

  • Stay in character. No OOC in roleplay, no metagaming from Discord or streams.
  • Recording, always. No clip, no sit — for reports in either direction.
  • Working microphone. Voice is how scenes happen.
  • No RDM or VDM. Killing is a last resort, and driving is not a weapon.
  • Fear for your life. Your character values surviving more than winning.
  • Finish the scene, then report. Staff handle serious cases — not petty score-settling.

Before you ask in chat

How do I join Eclipse RP?
Join the Discord, read the rules, then open a whitelist ticket. Staff will take you into the whitelist voice channel for a short interview. Once you pass you get the server details and can create your character.
Do I need a microphone?
Yes — a working microphone is required. Roleplay happens in voice, and a whitelist interview is done in voice as well. Text-only play is not supported.
Do I have to record my gameplay?
Have recording or clipping software ready at all times. Reports are decided on clips: no clip, no sit. If you are accused of something, a clip of your side is the fastest way to clear it up.
How do I report a player?
Open a ticket in Discord and include the clip, the time, and who was involved. Finish the roleplay scene first — staff will not action a report that arrived mid-scene — and never report out of personal dislike.
What happens if I leave the Discord?
Leaving removes your whitelist, and you would need to reapply. It is not a punishment — it just means the whitelist reflects who is actually in the community.
Can I join a department?
Yes — police, EHS, the events team and content creation are all open to whitelisted players through a ticket. Each has its own standards, and leaving a whitelisted job comes with a one-week cooldown before you can take another. Full details are on Departments & teams.
